There is nobody in the country right now being talked about more than Richard Sherman of the Seattle Seahawks. Which is actually a very good thing, because the deeper you dig into Sherman's life- both current and past- the more you'll learn about what is actually an amazing American success story.
For all the haters out there: I get it. I see that Sherman has issues conducting himself with any amount of class on the field. It's difficult not to wish the guy would make some choices differently in the way that he interacts with other players, and sometimes with members of the media.
But with all that said, there is so much more to the man than the ego-laden outbursts you witness on Sundays. His is a story about two amazing parents, and how they passed on to him the everlasting gift of a healthy perspective on life, hard-work, and helping others.
